Background to the brief

Volkswagen Group UK was investing in a huge programme of IT initiatives which would transform the way they did business; enabling them to meet market challenges and make the most of the opportunities going into the next decade. We were asked to communicate the details of these initiatives to all Group employees.

Our solution

We produced 'Transform', an A3 magazine with the gravitas of a broadsheet and the appeal of a quality magazine. The name itself, masthead, copy and design all come together to convey the feeling of a company moving forward with confidence.

That's the way to do IT

'Transform' was a big hit from issue one - so much so that the initial publication plan of three issues per year was immediately doubled to six. Research is currently underway to measure to what extent the employees have understood how the various IT initiatives fit together across the business.
